What separates Waxen Shapethief from Phyrexian Metamorph is the ability to choose any artifact or creature, not just your own
Interestingly, classifying Pokemon by habitats was also a feature in the Fire Red / Leaf Green Pokdex many years later, Urban ( Forest ( ) and Grassland ( ) also appearing with the same name on the card prototypes (, , ), however we can only speculate on whether or not the TCG and Red and Green influenced this feature

I would use this card to specifically knock out Pokemon with a lot of damage in one move, I would load this card up with lets say 4 energy cards and hope for at least 2 heads that way it could do 100 damage that turn and more than likely knock out that Pokemon and then still be able to use Continuous Fireball the next turn
The biggest downside is its high mana cost
Oko at 5 mana would be one of Magics strongest planeswalkers
